Château Montrose is a winery in the Saint-Estèphe appellation of the Bordeaux region of France. The wine produced here was classified as one of fourteen Deuxièmes Crus (Second Growths) in the original Bordeaux Wine Official Classification of 1855.
Château Grand-Puy Ducasse is a wine estate in Pauillac. Under the name Artigues Arnaud, it was rated as a Fifth Growth in the Bordeaux Classification of 1855.The estate comprises 59 hectares (146 acres), of which 40ha (99 acres) are planted to vine. This is divided into three distinct plots, an unusual configuration which dates back to the 18th Century when Pierre Ducasse unified his vineyard holdings under a single name. These parcels border Mouton, Lafite and Pontet-Canet to the north, and cover part of the shallow hill called Grand Puy. The vineyards are around 62 percent Cabernet Sauvignon on silica and gravel soils, and 38 percent Merlot on sandy gravel soils.
