Château Montrose is a winery in the Saint-Estèphe appellation of the Bordeaux region of France. The wine produced here was classified as one of fourteen Deuxièmes Crus (Second Growths) in the original Bordeaux Wine Official Classification of 1855.
Château Petit Village is an estate located in Pomerol, on Bordeaux's Right Bank.The 11-hectare (26-acre) vineyard sits atop the Pomerol plateau, and has clay and gravel soils that are rich in iron. Merlot is the most prevalent grape variety grown on the estate, with 75 percent of the vineyard dedicated to its cultivation. Smaller quantities of Cabernet Franc (18 percent) and Cabernet Sauvignon (7 percent) make up the remainder of the vineyard. It is densely planted and the average vine age is 30 years old.
