🏰Radio-Coteau's Syrah Harrison Grade 2016 is a 【noteworthy estate-grown Syrah, biodynamically farmed and capturing density with cool-climate elegance】. The 2016 Californian vintage was very good, with a warmer spring, hot June and July, and cooling temperatures in August, leading to a successful harvest in Sonoma. This ruby-hued Syrah offers a smoky, meaty bouquet of blackcurrants, camphor, graphite, spices, anise, liquorice, dark fruits, and peppery notes, with hints of tobacco and cigars. The palate is medium to full-bodied, nicely concentrated, and elegant, with fresh acidity, ripe tannins, and savory notes of black olive, smoke, and herbs, leading to a detailed, firm, nuanced, and long finish.
🍴This powerful and elegant Syrah is a perfect match for gamey meats, roast white meats, braised dishes, grilled lamb, beef, venison, and rich stews. It also pairs well with steak and red sauce pasta.
🥂Consider this wine for occasions where you want to impress, or for a sophisticated dinner. It is drinking beautifully now. Decant for about an hour to allow its complex aromas to fully open up. Serve at around 16-18°C (60-64°F).
