🏰 The 2018 Lamy Caillat Chassagne Montrachet 1er Cru is a splendid example of white Burgundy, showcasing a glittering gold hue with hints of green in its youth. Expect delightful aromas of honeysuckle and hazelnut, underpinned by a crisp citrus acidity and a deep, smoky gun-flint minerality. Notes of honey and fleshy pear contribute to a luscious attack, leading to a round and decadent palate with persistent minerality. This vintage beautifully balances richness with a vibrant freshness, making it approachable now while promising further evolution.
🍴 This elegant white Burgundy is a versatile partner for delicate white meats such as poultry or veal. It shines with fish prepared in well-spiced couscous, curries, or stir-fries, and harmonizes particularly well with salmon. For a more elevated experience, consider pairing it with crayfish, lobster, or even foie gras.
🥂 Perfect for an elegant aperitif, a sophisticated seafood feast, or a refined lunch with friends. Its complexity and freshness make it suitable for celebratory gatherings where fine white wine is appreciated.
