FEATURES
🏰From a challenging yet rewarding 2013 vintage, Lamy-Caillat's Chassagne Montrachet Les Caillerets 1er Cru is a top-tier white Burgundy, showcasing vibrant acidity, superb balance, and a long, mineral-driven finish. The 2013 vintage in Burgundy, despite a cold and wet winter and spring, yielded good wines. This wine comes from vines in shallow soil on pebbly marl slopes, producing rich, tight, and harmonious wines. It offers an aromatic nose of lemon and a hint of fennel spice, with clean apple and biscuit notes. The palate is medium-full bodied, with exceptionally vibrant acidity, superb mouthfeel and balance, and a very long finish. Flavors include lemon cream, plenty of minerality and crispness, peaches, pears, green apples, flinty reduction, chalky notes, tropical fruit (passionfruit), creamy, mineral, and popcorn.
🍴 Excellent with chicken and turkey. Also pairs beautifully with seafood, rich fish dishes, or creamy pasta.
🥂 An excellent choice for a sophisticated dinner party, a special celebration, or as a contemplative wine for white Burgundy enthusiasts.
