FEATURES
🏰 The 1993 vintage for white 布根地 was a challenging one, marked by heavy rainfall and mildew, yet the best wines, like Leflaive's Chevalier-Montrachet Grand Cru, have evolved into taut, elegant wines of distinction. Despite initial acidity, the fruit blossomed with age, revealing a complex, concentrated, and well-structured character with great aging potential. Expect bright, racy acidity, notes of green apple and flint, and a beautiful background of used oak with subtle smoky nuances. Aromas of apple, yellow and exotic fruit, almonds, and cinnamon are typical, alongside a pronounced mineral quality. 【 Complex, concentrated, and elegant Grand Cru white Burgundy with significant aging potential 】
🥂 This wine is built for aging, and the best examples from 1993 have developed into magnificent, powerful wines. It is perfectly suited for a very special, celebratory dinner, offering a profound and meditative experience.
Serving Advice: This Grand Cru is over 30 years old and will be delicate. The cork might be fragile, so use a Durand opener. Decanting is generally not recommended for very old white Burgundies as they can fade quickly; instead, allow it to open in the glass. Serve slightly chilled, between 12-14°C (54-57°F), to best appreciate its intricate layers.
🍴 Chevalier-Montrachet pairs exceptionally well with rich, creamy sauces, and delicate seafood such as grilled lobster, crayfish, or scallops. It also complements foie gras, poultry in cream sauce, and various mushroom dishes.
