🏰The 2017 Denis Mortet Bonnes Mares Grand Cru is an 【exquisite expression from a remarkable parcel, showcasing the elegant and fine-boned style of the vintage】. This Grand Cru, now a key part of Mortet's range, offers a very pretty bouquet wafting with notes of rose petal, blood orange, wild berries, and savory bass notes. On the palate, it is medium to full-bodied, satiny, and fine-boned, with chalky structuring tannins, juicy acids, and a vibrant core of fruit. Expect gorgeous rich fruit, dark raspberry, and spicy notes, with a beautiful finish that stretches the fruit out beyond light tannins.
🍴 This prestigious red Burgundy is an ideal pairing for duck, goose, and other game birds. It would also complement roasted lamb, delicate beef preparations, or truffle-infused dishes.
🥂 A superb choice for a grand celebration, a sophisticated fine dining experience, or a serious Burgundy tasting to appreciate its evolving personality and exquisite style.
BACKGROUND
Domaine Denis Mortet is located in northern Burgundy and is famous for producing high-quality Pinot Noir wine. It is produced in a modern style and has a delicate taste. The domaine currently occupies 11.2 hectares (27 acres) and has also purchased part of the Le Chambertin Grand Cru vineyard. The winery was founded in 1956 when Charles Mortet purchased a hectare of vineyard and began selling fruit to merchants. Mortet's son Denis and his wife Laurence started working at the estate in 1978 and took over and established Domaine Denis Mortet in the early 1990s.
