Château Montrose is a winery in the Saint-Estèphe appellation of the Bordeaux region of France. The wine produced here was classified as one of fourteen Deuxièmes Crus (Second Growths) in the original Bordeaux Wine Official Classification of 1855.
Chateau Dassault was created in the mid 1800’s by a member of the Fourcaud family. The Fourcaud family are best known for creating Chateau Cheval Blanc. At the time of its birth, the estate started out life under the name of Chateau Couperie. That changed in 1955 when the Bordeaux winery was purchased by Marcel Dassault.
