Chantal Lescure, Clos Des Topes Bizot Vieilles Vignes, 2022
🏰 The 2022 Chantal Lescure Clos des Topes Bizot Vieilles Vignes hails from a 【super-charming and forthcoming Burgundy vintage】, where reds beautifully balance the fruit, aroma, and tannin of a warm season with the freshness and moderate alcohol of a classic cooler year. Expect a wine with real depth and ripeness, showcasing predominantly red-fruit characteristics, expressive floral notes, and ripe tannins. This Pinot Noir offers a surprising freshness and energy, making it approachable in its youth while still possessing aging potential.
🍴 This elegant red Burgundy pairs wonderfully with roasted duck breast, pan-seared salmon, mushroom-based dishes, or a classic coq au vin. For an Asian-inspired meal, try it with Peking duck or a delicate dim sum selection.
🥂 Perfect for a relaxed evening with friends or a casual dinner party, this wine is ready to impress now but can also be cellared for a few years to develop further complexity.
BACKGROUND
Domaine Chantal Lescure was founded in 1975 by the husband and wife team Chantal Lescure and Xavier Machard de Gramont. They primarily cultivate Pinot Noir and a small amount of Chardonnay grapes. The estate spans approximately 18 hectares from Chambolle-Musigny in the Côte de Nuits to Volnay in the Côte de Beaune, a rarity in today's valuable Burgundy vineyard landscape. After Chantal's passing in 1996, her son Aymeric undertook a thorough restructuring of the estate and appointed François Chavériat as the estate manager.
