Château Montrose is a winery in the Saint-Estèphe appellation of the Bordeaux region of France. The wine produced here was classified as one of fourteen Deuxièmes Crus (Second Growths) in the original Bordeaux Wine Official Classification of 1855.
Chateau L'Arrosee is a classified Grand Cru Classe estate from the 1955 Classification of Saint Emilion. The chateau's vineyard faces south and spans close to 10 hectares (24 acres). The site is composed of limestone and clay soils and is planted to 60 percent Merlot, 20 percent Cabernet Franc, and 20 percent Cabernet Sauvignon with vines averaging 35 years old.
