Château Montrose is a winery in the Saint-Estèphe appellation of the Bordeaux region of France. The wine produced here was classified as one of fourteen Deuxièmes Crus (Second Growths) in the original Bordeaux Wine Official Classification of 1855.
Chateau Doisy Vedrines is a Bordeaux producer in Barsac known for its botrytized dessert wines. It was rated a Grand Cru Classé Second Growth in the 1855 classification of Sauternes and Barsac for its sweet blend of Semillon and Sauvignon Blanc.The vineyard is planted with roughly 85 percent Semillon and 15 percent Sauvignon Blanc, and has an average vine age of 30 years. Although Vedrines is located in Barsac, it takes advantage of the appellation laws that allow it to be labeled with a Sauternes AOC designation. It also makes the second wine, Petit Vedrines.
