It offers a punchy bouquet, a little nuttier and smokier than expected, with notes of Montecristo cigars, nougat, and vanilla pod. The sweetness comes through more on the palate than the nose. The palate is very well balanced, with molasses, grilled hazelnuts, and a pinch of cracked black pepper towards the finish, along with a seductive viscosity and a dab of dried honey. Critics also note warm orange and honey on the nose, with astonishing tannins, coffee, and jellied fruits on the palate, framed by nice acidity. It's described as elegant, graceful, and having reached perfect drinking age.
🥂 A truly regal and rare offering, perfect for celebrating significant personal milestones, royal-themed events, or as a cherished gift for a connoisseur. It's blended to be drunk now. This wine is ready to drink and does not require decanting. It benefits from being served slightly chilled. While not a single vintage, its "Very Very Old" nature suggests the cork and capsule should be handled with care.
🍴 Excellent with toffee, caramel, tangy orange, and light balsamic character. It pairs well with desserts, especially those with caramel, nuts, or dried fruits.
