🏰 The 2018 Petit Roy Bourgogne Aligoté is a testament to the rising star winemaker Seiichi Saito, who has established himself as one of the most exciting new winemakers in Burgundy. This Aligoté is sourced from clay-limestone hillsides in Savigny-lès-Beaune, with vines averaging 35 years old. The 2018 vintage was marked by fruity purity and vibrant energy, reflecting an ideal climatic balance. The wine is aged for 10 months in barrel and then 2 months in tank before bottling. On the nose, it bursts with beautiful crushed limestone, offering a very mineral profile with slight smokey and saline notes, hay, elderflower, and faint lemon and lime. The palate is lively and precise, with taut acidity combining with an elegant texture, flavors of apple and lemon, and a saline and chalky finish of persistent length. It's described as clean, fresh, and energetic, with less acidity than some vintages but still relatively high, making it more approachable. This wine has great length and a long-lasting limestone imprint on the tongue, with a lean yet giving texture. It's considered one of the best Aligotés by many. 【 布根地新星釀酒師的傑出之作 】
