🏰【A harmonious and delicate Meursault from Antoine Lepetit de la Bigne's exciting new project】, the 2022 Les Malpoiriers is a classic expression of the appellation, expertly crafted and showing great promise. La Pierre Ronde, launched in 2021 by renowned biodynamic consultant Antoine Lepetit de la Bigne, presents this Meursault from 27-year-old Chardonnay vines in Les Malpoiriers, on the Volnay side of Meursault, with deep, clay-dominant soil. Raised in 100% new oak, the wine is bright and brilliant, offering a harmonious and delicate profile. Tasting notes suggest white flowers, chamomile, apricot, ripe pear, and a dust of spices, creating a gorgeous and open-knit experience.
🍴 This classic Meursault pairs beautifully with rich seafood like crayfish, langoustines, lobster, and crab. It also complements creamy pasta dishes, vegetable curries, vichyssoise, and roasted poultry.
🥂 An excellent choice for a special dinner, a celebration of fine Burgundy, or a valuable addition to a cellar for those who appreciate classic Meursault. It's drinkable from 2031-2034, indicating good aging potential.
*Serving Suggestion: This 2022 Meursault is still very young and will benefit significantly from cellaring until at least 2031. If consumed earlier, decanting for 1-2 hours is recommended to allow it to open up. Serve chilled, around 12-14°C (54-57°F).*
