FEATURES
🏰The 2021 Chateau Valandraud Blanc is an outstanding white wine, highly rated by critics like Jeb Dunnuck who called it "brilliant stuff" with 96 points, though little is made, making it difficult to find. Produced by Jean-Luc Thunevin, known as the "Bad Boy of Saint-Emilion" for breaking traditions, the winery also opened a new facility in 2021 with bioclimatic architecture, focusing on sustainability. This wine offers a gorgeous perfume of honeyed limes, mint, spicy herbs, and a kiss of background oak, with medium-bodied richness, a focused, chiseled texture, and a gorgeous finish. Expect aromas of smoked almonds, crushed stones, fennel, lavender, cedar and orange curd, delivering layers of sweet, citrus, white peaches, and ginger with bright, crisp, round characteristics.
🍴 Perfect for special occasions or elegant meals, where it can perfectly complement delicate and refined dishes like lobster canapé, shellfish bisque, or poultry.
🥂 An exceptional wine that will appeal to connoisseurs of refined and balanced wines, it has bright acidity and rock-solid concentration, benefiting from a year or three in the cellar and having a decade or more of longevity.
