Rebourgeon Mure, Pommard Clos Des Arvelets 1er Cru, 2021
🏰 Domaine Rebourgeon-Mure's Pommard 1er Cru Clos des Arvelets 2021 is a prestigious Burgundy wine that embodies the essence of its terroir. The 2021 vintage in Burgundy, despite some challenges like localized April frosts, produced wines with complex aromatics, red fruit, spice, and minerality, known for being structured yet elegant with well-integrated tannins and lively acidity. This particular wine, from a steep, south-facing slope where all work is done by hand, showcases a radiant ruby hue and seductive aromas of ripe red fruits, nuanced with soft spicy undertones. On the palate, it offers a harmonious balance of silky tannins, vibrant acidity, and layers of red fruit flavors, culminating in a long, elegant finish. 【This 2021 Pommard 1er Cru is a testament to meticulous winemaking, offering excellent intensity of deep bright red fruit with a lifted acidity, promising both immediate enjoyment and rewarding cellar time.】
🍴 This elegant yet structured Pommard 1er Cru would be superb with classic French cuisine. Think roasted duck breast, pan-seared beef tenderloin with a red wine reduction, or earthy mushroom dishes. For a more casual pairing, charcuterie and hard cheeses would also be delightful.
🥂 Ideal for a sophisticated dinner party, a special celebration, or as a thoughtful gift for a Burgundy lover. This wine is still young and will benefit from further aging, but can be enjoyed now with decanting. Serve at 16-18°C (60-64°F) after decanting for at least an hour to allow its youthful vigor to soften and its complex aromas to unfold. It is recommended to drink from 2026-2032.
