🏰 Highly praised by Neal Martin with 91-93 points, the 2019 Domaine Confuron-Cotetidot Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Derriere la Grange is a distinguished Pinot Noir, showcasing a 【detailed, floral bouquet with rose petal and peony complementing vivacious red berry fruit】. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy red berry fruit and good density on the finish, reflecting the generally excellent, even legendary, 2019 Burgundy vintage. This wine beautifully combines density and vivacity, offering delicate yet complex flavors typical of a fine red Burgundy.
🍴 This elegant red Burgundy pairs wonderfully with classic dishes like roast duck, goose, and other game birds. It also complements veal dishes beautifully.
🥂 Perfect for a sophisticated dinner party or a special celebration, this wine is ready to impress with its finesse and aging potential.
BACKGROUND
Domaine Chandon de Briailles is a wine producer in the northern part of Côte de Beaune in Burgundy. The winery covers 14 hectares (34 acres) and produces a variety of wines from the Corton Grand Cru. The domaine has been owned by the de Nicolay family since 1834. Countess Chandon de Briailles took over the estate in 1982 and worked to revitalize the estate and its wines. As is the case in much of Burgundy, the estate's white wine is made from Chardonnay and its red from Pinot Noir.
