Henri Germain, Meursault Chevalieres, 2012
White
750ml
label : Good Label
level : Neck Level
capsule : Good Capsule
🏰 The 2012 Henri Germain Meursault Chevalieres is a fine example from a challenging Burgundy vintage that, despite hail damage in Meursault, produced 【consistently fine white wines from top estates like Germain】. This Meursault is expected to be rich, expressive, and round, with classic notes of apple, peach, hazelnut, and brioche, developing wonderful aromas of dried fruit and honey with age.
🍴 This Meursault pairs beautifully with cured white fish, trout, or salmon, as well as white meat in a mushroom cream sauce. For a more indulgent experience, try it with grilled lobster, king prawns in garlic butter, or creamy, washed-rind cheeses.
🥂 An excellent choice for a special dinner or a gathering where a mature, complex white Burgundy will be appreciated. Its developed character makes it a delightful contemplative wine. Serve chilled at 12-14°C (54-57°F).
BACKGROUND
Domaine Henri Germain is located in the village of Meursault in Burgundy, France. The primary grape varieties cultivated are Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. The estate was founded in 1973 when Henri Germain purchased some Meursault vineyards from his wife's family, the Pillots, and acquired additional land in Chassagne. Currently, the domaine owns around 7 hectares of land, spread across Meursault, Chassagne-Montrachet, and Beaune.
