🏰 The 2013 vintage in Burgundy was challenging but ultimately produced delicious white wines, characterized by energetic and powerful acidity, fine nervy acidity, and a focused aromatic profile. It was a late harvest, and some growers faced significant crop losses due to hail. However, the best wines, like Marc Colin's Saint Aubin Blanc La Fontenotte, show excellent terroir definition, intensity, clarity, and transparency. Expect a wine with vibrant acidity, notes of citrus, green apple, and white flowers, possibly with subtle minerality and a hint of nutty or toasty complexity from oak ageing. The best examples from this vintage often possess a 'gourmand' flavour and remarkable intensity. 【A delicious and terroir-transparent white Burgundy from a challenging vintage】
🍴 This White Burgundy is a superb match for grilled seafood, roasted chicken, creamy pasta dishes, fresh goat cheese, or lighter risottos. Its vibrant acidity will cut through richer textures beautifully.
🥂 An excellent choice for an elegant lunch, an aperitif with friends on a sunny afternoon, or a sophisticated seafood dinner. It's a wine that offers both immediate pleasure and intellectual appeal.
