🏰 The 2014 Leroy Corton Renardes Grand Cru is a 【premier investment in the collectible wine market, embodying the wildest and most authentic facet of the Grand Crus of the Hill of Corton】. This extraordinary vintage from Domaine Leroy showcases superlative concentration without forsaking grace, making it unique amongst its peers. It offers an intriguing bouquet of dark berry fruit, a touch of Earl Grey, and bay leaf, with a vivid, terroir-driven profile. The palate is medium-bodied with fine, silky tannins, harmonious, saline notes, and a vivacious fruit that gives way to an intricate dance of minerality. Expect a complex array of red and black fruits, enhanced by notes of game, leather, truffle, and forest humus, leading to a long, persistent finish with spicy and mineral undertones.
🍴 This powerful and complex Pinot Noir is a dream pairing for rich, gamey dishes. Think feathered game like pheasant or wild duck, furred game such as roe deer or wild boar, and red meats in sauce. It also beautifully complements aged, characterful cheeses like Époisses, Maroilles, or Munster. For an elevated experience, consider a truffle-infused beef Wellington or a rich mushroom and venison pie.
🥂 An exceptional wine for serious collectors and connoisseurs, perfect for a grand celebration or a profound tasting experience. With an aging potential of 15 to 20 years, this wine will continue to evolve beautifully. Decanting for 2-3 hours is recommended for younger vintages to allow its full aromatic complexity to unfold. Serve at 16-18°C (61-65°F).
