BACKGROUND
Ruffino winery was established in 1877 by Ilario and Leopoldo Ruffino, quickly gaining prominence in Italy. In 1913, the Folonari family took over, marking a new growth phase. The iconic Riserva Ducale was introduced in 1927. By the 1930s, Ruffino was one of Italy's most important family-run wineries. In 2000, Marco and Paolo Folonari continued the innovative legacy. Today, Ruffino owns 8 vineyards, totaling 630 hectares, making it a significant vineyard owner in the Chianti region. The classic Ruffino Chianti is known for its fresh, fruity taste without oak aging, preserving vibrant fruit aromas. Now offering over 30 wine varieties, Ruffino caters to global wine enthusiasts.
