FEATURES
🏰 The 2011 vintage for Georg Breuer's Rudesheimer Berg Schlossberg Riesling was marked by very unstable weather conditions, yet towards the end of the season, the grapes achieved perfect ripeness. Following a short, cold winter, April brought early summer-like temperatures with minimal rain. The rainfall deficit was recovered during July and August, and a "golden October" provided warm summer temperatures, allowing for a prolonged harvest and optimal picking times.
This dry, full-bodied white Riesling displays a youthful, brilliant color. It offers an exuberant bouquet of star fruit, honeysuckle, and bay leaf. The nose is complex and mineral-driven, requiring time to develop, revealing spicy notes of arugula and fresh vineyard peaches. On the palate, it is dense, round, creamy, almost oily, and sweet, with a rich peach fruit texture and slate-driven minerality. It is crisp and refreshing, with a hint of minerality and a long, lingering finish. Further notes include a smoky, dense nose with sweet fruit and fresh herbs, grapefruit, seashells, and a phenolic character with an amazing mineral core. It boasts excellent depth and spice character, with a subtle hint of residual sugar lending an air of nobility. 【Complex minerality and noble character in a dry Riesling】
