Andre Robert, Terres Du Mesnil Blanc De Blancs, 2018
🏰 The 2018 Andre Robert Terres du Mesnil Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru is a testament to crafting vinous Champagne with 【exceptional depth and texture, rooted in the chalk-rich soils of Le Mesnil sur Oger】. This 100% Chardonnay is vinified in older French oak barriques and aged on lees for 10 months, followed by four to eight years in bottle, resulting in a full, generous, and wonderfully persistent wine. It offers elegant and lively aromas of lemon, apple, and hazelnut, with notes of candied lemon, warm butter, and a hint of truffle developing on the palate. The 2018 vintage itself was exceptional, with a long, hot summer following a very wet winter, ensuring well-stocked soils.
🍴 This complex and traditional sparkling wine is an ideal partner for shellfish, crab, and lobster. It also pairs beautifully with well-aged cheeses, Asian-inspired dishes, or even morels.
🥂 Perfect for celebrating milestones, a sophisticated aperitif, or as a gastronomic Champagne to accompany fine dining.
Serving suggestion: Do not hesitate to open it twenty minutes before serving to allow its aromas to fully develop.
