Lucien Le Moine, Chevalier Montrachet Grand Cru, 2013
🏰 Lucien Le Moine's 2013 Chevalier Montrachet Grand Cru is a testament to the producer's philosophy of minimal intervention, allowing the exceptional terroir to shine. The 2013 vintage in Burgundy for white wines was generally considered good, producing wines with excellent acidity and freshness, which bodes well for aging. This Grand Cru is expected to offer a complex aromatic profile, often featuring notes of white flowers, citrus, and a distinct minerality, evolving into richer nutty and honeyed nuances with time. The palate is typically powerful yet elegant, with a long, persistent finish.
🍴 This prestigious white Burgundy demands equally refined food pairings. Think pan-seared foie gras, roasted turbot with a delicate cream sauce, or even a rich chicken or veal dish prepared with morel mushrooms. For cheese, a mature Comté or a creamy Époisses would be a sublime match.
🥂 An ideal choice for a significant celebration, a high-end tasting event, or as a centerpiece for a gourmet dinner where the wine itself is the star. It's a wine to be savored and contemplated.
