Philippe Pacalet, Meursault Genevrieres 1er Cru, 2019
🏰【From a natural winemaking pioneer, the 2019 Philippe Pacalet Meursault Genevrieres 1er Cru offers a pure expression of terroir, showcasing Meursault's renowned richness balanced with vibrant minerality.】 Philippe Pacalet is known for his environmentally friendly and sustainable viticulture, employing natural yeasts and minimal intervention. The 2019 vintage in Burgundy for whites was generally ripe and concentrated, with 2022 being compared to 2019 and 2020 as bigger, fuller-bodied, richer whites. Meursault Genevrieres is consistently praised for its exceptional quality and luxurious texture. Expect a rich and mineral-driven profile with aromas of ripe apple, pear, peach, and citrus, complemented by delicate floral notes and hints of toasted hazelnut, peppermint, and verbena. The palate is round and ample, with a beautiful freshness, crisp fruit, and an elegant finish carried by a slight minerality.
