Ramonet, Bienvenues Batard Montrachet Grand Cru, 2007
🏰The 2007 Bienvenues-Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru from Ramonet is a stellar example from a Burgundy vintage that was [【uniformly brilliant for white wines】]. Despite a challenging growing season, a late Indian summer rescued the vintage, allowing Chardonnay to achieve remarkable purity, minerality, and aromatic depth, especially for producers who picked later. This Grand Cru is expected to offer profound complexity and excellent aging potential.
🍴This exquisite white Burgundy is perfect with pan-fried scallops, grilled lobster, or roasted sea bass. It also pairs beautifully with rich poultry dishes like Bresse chicken with cream sauce or fresh, creamy cheeses.
🥂An exceptional wine for a grand celebration, a sophisticated seafood dinner, or a special moment of indulgence.
BACKGROUND
Domaine Ramonet is a prominent wine producer in the Burgundy appellations of Chassagne-Montrachet and Puligny-Montrachet, France. Ramonet owns more than 15 hectares (37 acres) of vineyards. The primary grape variety is Chardonnay, with a small amount of Pinot Noir also planted. The estate's most important wines are made from Chardonnay from the area's grand cru vineyards, and are highly collectible, often selling for high prices at auction. Domaine Ramonet makes several red wines from Pinot Noir as well. Domaine Ramonet is now run by Noël and Jean-Claude Ramonet, following the death of their father Pierre in the mid-1990s.
