🏰 The 2019 Domaine Duroché Chambertin-Clos de Bèze Grand Cru hails from an exceptional vintage in Burgundy, widely praised for its quality. This particular wine is noted for being the most muscular and youthfully reserved in the Duroché range, offering a complex bouquet of sweet berries and plums, complemented by hints of raw cocoa, exotic spices, grilled meats, and burning embers. It presents a full-bodied, layered, and multidimensional palate with broad shoulders and considerable concentration, promising to be a brilliant Clos de Bèze. The vines, planted in 1920, contribute to its depth, and despite lower yields, the quality is outstanding. 【 Outstanding quality from a highly acclaimed Grand Cru vintage 】. Critics suggest this wine will be excellent with time, benefiting from further bottle age to fully express its potential.
🍴 This powerful and elegant red 布根地 (Burgundy) Grand Cru is an ideal match for sophisticated dishes. Think roasted game birds like pheasant or duck, beef Wellington, or a rich mushroom risotto. Its complexity also allows it to stand up to truffle-infused dishes or aged hard cheeses.
🥂 This Chambertin-Clos de Bèze Grand Cru is perfect for a milestone celebration, a serious wine tasting event, or a luxurious dinner where the wine is the star. It's a wine to be savoured and discussed, making it ideal for connoisseurs and collectors.
BACKGROUND
Domaine Duroche is a famous manor located in Gevrey-Chambertin in the Côte de Nuits region of Burgundy. The winery is owned and operated by Pierre Duroché, the fifth generation of the Duroché family, and specializes in the production of Pinot Noir red wine. The winery grows grapes in four Grand Crus, first planted in 1920 and now has a total of about 8 hectares (20 acres) of vines. Situated on soil rich in limestone and containing small amounts of sand marl. Wine is made without fining or filtration. In addition to its Grand Cru vineyards, it also owns three Gevrey-Chambertin Premier Cru vineyards. The winery produces five village wines from the village of Côte de Nuits, as well as two Burgundy wines, one of which is a Chardonnay-based Burgundy white.
