🏰 The 2009 Serafin Charmes Chambertin Grand Cru hails from an exceptionally good Burgundy vintage for reds, celebrated for its rich, concentrated fruit and heady aromatics. While some 2009s might be criticized for lacking acidity, top Grand Crus like this one from Serafin offer tremendous pleasure and concentration, appealing to those who enjoy a more opulent style. Expect a powerful and expressive wine with a 【dense core of sweet dark berries, black cherry, and plum, intertwined with notes of game, spice, and a subtle earthy minerality, all supported by ripe, velvety tannins】.
🍴 This robust Grand Cru Burgundy is an excellent match for classic French dishes like coq au vin, roasted duck breast with cherry sauce, or beef bourguignon. For an Asian pairing, consider a rich Cantonese braised pigeon or a flavorful Korean BBQ short rib.
🥂 Ideal for a celebratory dinner, a special occasion with fellow Burgundy enthusiasts, or as a centerpiece for a gourmet meal. The 2009 vintage is generally drinking well now, but this particular wine, with its Grand Cru pedigree, will continue to evolve and offer complexity for many more years.
