【A powerful and well-balanced Grand Cru from Louis Jadot, the 1997 Latricières-Chambertin offers a classic expression of aged Burgundy Pinot Noir.】 The 1997 vintage in Burgundy was reasonably good, producing ripe, fruity wines, though some critics noted a potential lack of long-term structure in some wines. Louis Jadot is known for crafting enchanting wines that reflect the diversity of Burgundy. This wine is a powerful one made for cellaring for 20 years or more. It has a very deep and rather dark color. The intense bouquet features spices and red berries aromas, with notes of chocolate, coffee, oak, strawberry, red fruit, blueberry, black fruit, earthy, game, graphite, black licorice, gingerbread, dried fruit, and dried rose. On the palate, it shows very good structure, silky and long-lasting, always very well-balanced. Some 1997 Jadot wines from similar appellations showed pure burgundy on the nose with forest floor and plum, a streak of acidity, and lots of structure, opening up on the mid-palate.

🥂 fit for event suggestion IN ENGLISH
Ideal for a special occasion or a vertical tasting of aged Burgundy, this wine is designed for long-term cellaring.
Given its age, careful handling is crucial. The cork and capsule may be fragile. It is advisable to use an Ah-So opener or a Durand. Decanting is recommended to remove any sediment, but do so gently and just before serving to preserve its delicate aromas. Serve at 16-18°C (60-64°F).
