Olivier Bernstein, Gevrey Chambertin Les Cazetiers 1er Cru, 2009
🏰【Olivier Bernstein's Gevrey Chambertin Les Cazetiers 1er Cru 2009 is a testament to a generous vintage, offering a deep, ruby-red expression of Burgundy's finest Pinot Noir.】 The 2009 vintage in 布根地 (Burgundy) was characterized by deep, dark fruit, producing opulent and powerful wines. This 1er Cru from Olivier Bernstein, a renowned micronegociant, presents a refined and complex nose of ripe berries, cherries, spices, and earth. On the palate, it is full and rich with a velvety texture, well-integrated tannins, nuances of blackcurrant, and a touch of minerality, leading to an elegant and long-lasting finish.
🍴 This exquisite 布根地 Pinot Noir is a superb partner for classic meat dishes such as roasted duck breast with a cherry reduction, pan-seared lamb chops with rosemary, or a rich mushroom risotto. It also complements poultry like roast chicken with herbs, and can even pair well with richer, meatier fish like grilled salmon. For an Asian touch, consider Peking duck or a delicate Japanese sukiyaki.
🥂 This wine is ideal for a celebratory dinner, a special anniversary, or a serious cellar tasting among connoisseurs. It has excellent aging potential, with some suggesting it could improve over ten years or more. Decanting for an hour or so before serving will allow its complex aromas to fully unfold. Serve at a cool cellar temperature, around 16-18°C (60-64°F).
BACKGROUND
Domaine Pierre Boisson/Anne Boisson is a family winery. The winery is run by father Bernard (retired in 2016), son Pierre and daughter Anne. Although it is the same winery, the wines produced by the three people will be labeled separately. on their respective names. They jointly own 8.5 hectares of land around the Cote de Beaune, and the vineyard's terroir is wet stone and flint, giving the grapes more minerality.
