🏰From the legendary Coche-Dury, the 2016 Meursault Les Rougeots is a 【powerful, rich, and buttery white Burgundy, showcasing remarkable depth and a long, stony finish】 despite a challenging frosted vintage. This wine is medium to full-bodied, deep, and layered, with a denser, more blocky profile and considerable extract. The bouquet offers notes of lime oil, tart Anjou pear, peach kernels, sesame, lemon, citrus, apples, and minerals, often framed by a judicious touch of new oak. The palate is rich and buttery, balanced by vibrant acidity, and is drinking excellently now with potential for further aging.
🍴 This complex Chardonnay pairs beautifully with roast chicken or turkey, especially with creamy sauces. It also complements oysters, lobster, pork with beurre blanc, and soft-ripened cheeses.
🥂 An ideal choice for a luxurious dinner, a special celebration, or a serious tasting for white Burgundy connoisseurs. It's a compelling white wine that captures both moment and memory, an articulate testament to a challenging year turned victorious.
