Château Montrose is a winery in the Saint-Estèphe appellation of the Bordeaux region of France. The wine produced here was classified as one of fourteen Deuxièmes Crus (Second Growths) in the original Bordeaux Wine Official Classification of 1855.
It is crafted exclusively from Tempranillo grapes grown in deep gravel soils, which contribute to its firm tannic structure and rich character. Abadia Retuerta, located near the Duero River, has a long history of winemaking, with its modern revival beginning in 1996. The Pago Negralada is celebrated for its ability to showcase the purity of Tempranillo and its exceptional aging potential.
