DETAILS
Château Montrose is a winery in the Saint-Estèphe appellation of the Bordeaux region of France. The wine produced here was classified as one of fourteen Deuxièmes Crus (Second Growths) in the original Bordeaux Wine Official Classification of 1855.
Château Lagrange – Pomerol (sometimes called Lagrange à Pomerol) is an estate on the Bordeaux Right Bank. It is known for its rich, powerful red wine made mainly from the Merlot grape variety. The estate consists of 8.5 hectares (21 acres) of vineyards dispersed across several parcels on the Pomerol plateau. These are mostly found near the church of Saint-Jean, and near Château Le Gay where the soils are rich in gravel over a deep clay subsoil. Most of these vineyards are planted to Merlot, although Cabernet Franc makes up five percent of plantings.
