Amiot Servelle, Chambolle Musigny Les Amoureuses 1er Cru, 2022
🏰 The 2022 Amiot Servelle Chambolle Musigny Les Amoureuses 1er Cru is a highly anticipated vintage from a prestigious Burgundy vineyard. Les Amoureuses is renowned for its exceptional quality, often regarded as Grand Cru level despite its 1er Cru classification, situated directly below the legendary Musigny vineyard. The 2022 vintage is described as fruity, soft, and succulent, with some tasters wishing for more aromatic depth. It is an elegant and structured wine, predicted to need about 8 years to fully develop and capable of aging for 25 years. Expect a spicy, floral nose with layers of blackberry and raspberry fruit. On the palate, it offers mineral-inflected fruit with class, density, restraint, and energy. It is rich and concentrated with layers of black fruit and oak, showcasing a powerful structure and a long, velvety finish. Red fruit notes like strawberry and red cherry, earthy notes such as smoke, mushroom, and tar, along with oaky nuances of tobacco and butter, are commonly found. 【 Regarded as Grand Cru quality despite being a 1er Cru, located directly below the legendary Musigny vineyard 】.
🥂 This prestigious wine is a superb choice for collectors and connoisseurs, ideal for cellaring to allow its complex layers to unfold over time. It promises to be a magnificent addition to any special occasion in the future.
🍴 While specific pairings for this vintage are not widely published yet, red Burgundy of this caliber typically excels with roasted poultry, such as duck or guinea fowl, game birds, mushroom-based dishes, and lighter red meats like veal or lamb. Its elegance also makes it a fine companion to truffle dishes.
