🏰 The 2019 Domaine Arlaud Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru is 【very pure and intense on the nose with a melange of black and blueberry fruit infused with pressed violet petals, showcasing seamlessly integrated oak】. The 2019 vintage in Burgundy saw a warm spring with frost mostly avoided, and hot/warm weather leading to an early, plentiful harvest. This wine is opulent on the entry with black plum and boysenberry jam, a subtle confit element, and grippy tannins on the finish. Expect powerful floral and raspberry notes, with fruit developing beautifully on the palate, leaving a fresh, vigorous, yet generous fruit at the end. Aromas of ripe blackberry, cherry, blueberry with hints of violet petals, oak spice, and earth lead to a pure, rich, and supple palate with red/black fruit concentration, floral notes, fresh acidity, fine tannin with some grip, and a long layered finish.
🍴 This red 布根地 (Burgundy) pairs wonderfully with roasted poultry, game birds, mushroom dishes, and delicate red meats.
🥂 A quality effort built-to-age, this wine needs at least half a dozen years of patience and will reward 15+ years of cellaring. It is ideal for a serious collector's cellar, a future milestone celebration, or a sophisticated dinner party.
