FEATURES
🏰 The 2019 Racines Santa Rita Hills Chardonnay is a 【Burgundian-inspired California Chardonnay, offering impressive balance, mineral precision, and a complex palate of citrus, stone fruit, and subtle oak】. This cuvée is considered a wonderful wine and a terrific introduction to Racines Chardonnays. It displays a pale yellow color with bright acidity, and a nose of soft charcoal, lemon, lime, tangerine skin, spice, and sweet pickled ginger. The palate is fragrant and ethereal, chiselled with nervy acidity and mineral-laced fruit, tempered by a long and textured finish. Expect notes of pear, apple, savory spices, racy, ripe apples, lemon confit, white flowers, mint, white pepper, and crushed rocks, lending brightness and energy. Some describe it as very concentrated and salty, like key lime pie with grilled lemons and sea salt, with warm fruit character, butteriness, and vanilla/spice from oak.
🍴 This versatile Chardonnay pairs exceptionally well with lobster tempura, mushroom-crusted Chilean Seabass, and well-spiced, oven-roasted chicken. It's also a fantastic match for roast white meats, meaty fish (like halibut or cod), white sauces, fried food, butter-poached lobster, creamy pasta, scallops, soft-ripened cheeses, and mushrooms.
🥂 This excellent to outstanding wine is just entering its drinking window and has the structure to continue for a decade or more, capable of going head-to-head with cru Burgundies. It's perfect for a fine dining experience or a special occasion.
