Bruno Clavelier, Gevrey Chambertin Les Corbeaux 1er Cru, 2022
🏰 The 2022 Burgundy vintage is proving to be 【excellent, offering deeply coloured red wines with lush fruit expression, full body, and velvety tannins, balanced by a surprising freshness and energy】. Bruno Clavelier's Gevrey Chambertin Les Corbeaux 1er Cru from this promising vintage is expected to showcase ripe and very fresh red Pinot aromas, laced with underbrush and sauvage wisps. It benefits from the cool air flow of the Lavaux combe, bringing balance, finesse, and an airy side, with a beautiful fruit and precise tannic framework.
🍴 This vibrant red Burgundy is ideal with red meat dishes, such as roasted duck, grilled lamb chops, or venison. Its earthy and fruity notes also make it a great partner for mushroom-based dishes. For an Asian pairing, consider a rich Cantonese braised beef brisket or a flavorful Korean bulgogi.
🥂 This wine is accessible and early-drinking, yet the reds should age well, continuing to develop over five to ten years. It's a charming choice for a special dinner or a gathering of Burgundy enthusiasts, offering both immediate pleasure and future potential.
