🏰 The 2017 vintage in Burgundy, particularly for red wines, was generally well-regarded, offering wines with charm, freshness, and good fruit expression. While not as powerful as some blockbuster vintages, 2017 Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru from Amiot Servelle would likely showcase the elegance and aromatic complexity typical of this esteemed appellation. Expect a wine that is approachable in its youth but also possesses the structure for graceful aging. Tasting notes for Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru often highlight a bouquet of red berries, floral notes, and subtle earthy undertones, with a palate that is refined, silky, and persistent. 【 Amiot Servelle is known for crafting Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru that beautifully expresses the terroir with finesse and aromatic purity. 】
🍴 This elegant Grand Cru Burgundy would be exquisite with classic French cuisine. Consider pairings such as roasted duck breast with cherry sauce, pan-seared foie gras, delicate game birds like pheasant, or mushroom-based dishes. It also complements mild, earthy cheeses.
🥂 An excellent choice for a sophisticated dinner party, a special celebration, or a romantic evening. Its elegance and complexity make it a wine to be savored and discussed.
BACKGROUND
Domaine Amiot Servelle is a leading wine producer based in the village of Chambolle-Musigny in Burgundy's Côte d'Or district, with seven hectares (17 acres) of Pinot Noir vines. This includes vines from six premier vineyards. The company produces a range of wines from the region's top vineyards, including wines from the renowned Les Amoureuses vineyard, dominated by Pinot Noir. The history of the winery can be traced back to the 1920s. The owner's grandfather began planting grape vines in the village, and his parents also founded a winery. The owner himself founded Domaine Amiot-Servelle in 1989.
