Jacques Frederic Mugnier, Bonnes Mares Grand Cru, 2009
🏰The 2009 Jacques-Frederic Mugnier Bonnes Mares Grand Cru is a powerful and rich Burgundy, lauded for its 【exotic, beguiling bouquet and intense energy, showcasing the pedigree of this iconic Grand Cru】. This Pinot Noir offers a notably complex and fresher nose with a very ripe mix of red currant, blue berry, and cassis aromas, trimmed in wet stone and spice hints. The palate is textured and medium-bodied, brimming with dry extract on a powerful and explosive finish where a touch of austerity surfaces. Bonnes-Mares wines are renowned for combining richness and freshness, with intense color and rich aromas of dark fruits often accompanied by floral notes, and possess excellent aging potential of 30 to 50 years.
🍴 This sophisticated red Burgundy is an ideal partner for roasted game, such as roasted duck breast or venison, especially with wine-based or creamy sauces. It also pairs beautifully with rich stews, and strong, aged cheeses like Époisses or Comté.
🥂 An excellent choice for a significant celebration, a serious wine tasting, or as a cornerstone for a fine wine collection, given its remarkable aging potential.
