This iconic Pomerol is a testament to the vintage's opulence and longevity. Expect a wine of profound depth and complexity, showcasing a rich, evolved bouquet of ripe black fruits, plum, truffle, cedar, and exotic spices. On the palate, it should be full-bodied and luxurious, with incredibly velvety, well-integrated tannins, a seamless structure, and an extraordinarily long, captivating finish that continues to unfold with layers of flavor. This wine is a true classic, still offering immense pleasure.

For this magnificent and historic Pomerol, rich Cantonese dishes like braised goose with preserved plums, roasted suckling pig, or slow-cooked beef brisket with star anise would be exceptional. Western pairings include classic roasted red meats such as prime rib, braised lamb shank, game dishes like venison, or a selection of aged hard and soft cheeses.
🥂 fit for event suggestion IN ENGLISH
This is a monumental wine for a once-in-a-lifetime celebration, a significant milestone anniversary, or a private tasting with serious collectors. It's a wine to be revered and shared among those who appreciate the pinnacle of aged Bordeaux.
*Serving suggestion for older vintage:* This 1982 vintage requires careful handling. Stand the bottle upright for at least 48-72 hours to allow all sediment to settle. Decant very gently for 1-2 hours before serving, being extremely cautious not to disturb the sediment. Older wines can be fragile, so avoid over-decanting. Serve at 18-20°C (64-68°F). Be prepared for a delicate cork and consider using an Ah-So opener or a Durand.
