🏰 The 2011 Dujac Clos Saint Denis Grand Cru is a 【vintage of precision and harmony, showcasing resilience and poise from a year that tested Burgundian viticulture】. Time has favored this vintage, inviting a reassessment of its potential, with many critics noting its elegance and finesse. Expect a deep, profound wine with dark berries, cinnamon, and spices, supported by velvety tannins and a long finish. The nose, initially a little loose-knit with broody, stony red berry fruit, comes together with swirling to reveal a fine core of red cherries, pomegranate, and attractive saline notes, leading to a masculine yet elegant finish.
🍴 Chinese Cantonese food pairing: This elegant red Burgundy is an excellent match for refined Cantonese dishes such as roasted goose, braised pigeon with mushrooms, or delicate beef tenderloin stir-fried with black pepper. For Western cuisine, classic pairings include roasted duck, game birds, mushroom risotto, or a perfectly cooked beef Wellington.
🥂 fit for event suggestion: A wine with significant potential that is becoming more approachable, making it ideal for a special dinner, a gathering of wine enthusiasts, or for patient cellaring to further appreciate its evolving complexity.
