🏰 The 2022 Henri Germain Meursault 1er Cru Poruzots comes from a warm and dry Burgundy vintage. While some 2022 white Burgundies might lack the crisp freshness of cooler years, this vintage is noted for producing wines with 【richness and power】. Early tastings suggest a very promising quality, with lovely aromatics and good balance. Expect a Meursault that showcases its terroir with a generous palate, likely featuring notes of ripe yellow fruit, toasted nuts, and a creamy texture, balanced by a surprising underlying freshness.
🍴 This rich white Burgundy is an exquisite pairing for pan-seared scallops, roasted chicken with herbs, or creamy mushroom pasta. For an Asian culinary adventure, consider Cantonese steamed crab with ginger and scallions, or a rich seafood congee.
🥂 Perfect for a celebratory lunch, a sophisticated seafood dinner, or a gathering of white Burgundy enthusiasts.
BACKGROUND
Domaine Henri Germain is located in the village of Meursault in Burgundy, France. The primary grape varieties cultivated are Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. The estate was founded in 1973 when Henri Germain purchased some Meursault vineyards from his wife's family, the Pillots, and acquired additional land in Chassagne. Currently, the domaine owns around 7 hectares of land, spread across Meursault, Chassagne-Montrachet, and Beaune.
