FEATURES
🏰 The 2023 Romain Le Bars Lirac is a magnificent Rhône Valley wine, showcasing a brilliant marriage of power and finesse. Romain Le Bars is a natural winemaker based in Tavel, whose wines are progressing with each vintage. This Lirac is made from a blend of Grenache, Mourvèdre, Syrah, Cinsault, and Carignan, grown on clay and limestone soils with vines over 40 years old. It undergoes carbonic maceration and spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts, aged in barriques and cuves, with no fining or filtration. This wine is full of fruit and freshness, deep and beautifully balanced. It's described as easy-going yet quite serious, with a medium to light body and juicy texture. Expect gorgeous tones of grenadine and sweet ripe strawberry, retaining much freshness, driven by a gently zingy acidity. The nose offers mixed notes of fresh strawberry compote, white pepper, pine seeds, herbs, grenadine, some smokiness, and balsamicity. 【 A natural winemaker's Lirac, praised for its balance of power and finesse, and juicy, fresh fruit profile. 】
🍴 This Lirac pairs well with roast white meats, braised dishes, meaty fish, lamb, game (deer, venison), roast duck, duck or goose confit, and roast venison.
🥂 A versatile wine, suitable for various occasions, from casual gatherings to more formal dinners. Its juicy and powerful characteristics make it a crowd-pleaser. Note: Romain Le Bars also produces a Lirac Rosé 2023, which is fresh and vibrant with notes of ripe red berries, citrus zest, and delicate floral touches, ideal for Mediterranean dishes, grilled fish, or summer salads.
