FEATURES
🏰 The 2021 Burgundy vintage saw contrasting climatic conditions, resulting in one of the smallest harvests ever, yet providing a harmonious balance between freshness and ripeness. The whites are less opulent than previous vintages, well-balanced with lovely aromatics and a vintage marked by freshness and tension, allied with mineral vivacity. Joseph Drouhin cultivates and vinifies the Montrachet Marquis de Laguiche Grand Cru, which is the largest parcel of the Montrachet vineyard, a property held by the Laguiche family since 1776, and Drouhin has upheld its worldwide renown since 1947.
【Montrachet葡萄園中最大的地塊,自1947年起由Drouhin家族負責種植和釀造,享譽全球】
👅 This Montrachet offers a complex nose of hazelnuts, lemon curd, pie crust, peach pits, pastries, apricots, sea salt, preserved lemon, and a touch of white chocolate. It is powerful and full-bodied, with focus and tension in compact, long, and intense layers, showing fantastic weight for the vintage. Expect intense, elegant Grand Cru white Burgundy, heady with hawthorn, spice, faint tobacco fumes, and succulent apricot and dried fruit. The palate is dominated by a harmonious roundness, with an exceptionally long aftertaste that enhances its finesse.
🍴 This Montrachet Grand Cru pairs exquisitely with intensely flavored foods such as grilled or steamed lobster, poulet de Bresse (especially with truffles), roast veal fillet, sweetbreads, and very rare fillet steak. It's also an underrated match for foie gras and washed-rind cheeses, or simply with seafood or poultry in sauce.
🥂 An authentic masterpiece, this wine is perfect for grand celebrations, milestone anniversaries, or the most discerning fine dining experiences. It has excellent aging potential and is recommended to try from 2024 onwards.
