🏰The 2012 Gallety Cotes du Vivarais Clos Latin is a 【robust and elegant French red wine, a classic example of the Rhone Valley's viticultural savoir-faire】. Côtes du Vivarais wines are known for their distinctive regional typicity, balancing Mediterranean warmth with Central French altitude. This wine, typically a harmonious blend of Grenache and Syrah, offers a complex bouquet where notes of ripe red fruits, spices, and a slight mineral hint interweave. On the palate, it is vigorous yet balanced, with well-structured tannins that promise good aging potential. Expect nuances of blackberries, blueberries, and a touch of black pepper, leading to a persistent and satisfying finish.
🍴 This characterful red wine is ideal for accompanying hearty dishes. It pairs exceptionally well with grilled meats, game, or stews. Consider a flavorful chicken tagine with figs, stuffed tomatoes, or grilled pork ribs with oranges. It's also a great match for beef Stroganoff, roasted pork loin, or traditional French dishes like Gigot au riz pilaf and Petit salé aux lentilles.
🥂 Perfect for a cozy dinner with friends, a barbecue, or a rustic meal, offering intensity and character in every sip.
BACKGROUND
Domaine Gallety hails from the lesser-known AOP Côtes du Vivarais, one of the cooler appellations in the southern Rhône. They primarily cultivate Syrah and Grenache. Founded in Côtes du Vivarais in 1974, the estate was established by Alain Gallety and his father. Today, Alain and his son, Davie-Alexandre, jointly manage Domaine Gallety.
