🏰 The 2015 Louis Jadot Chambertin Grand Cru is a benchmark of Burgundy, showcasing the power and roundness of this esteemed Grand Cru from Gevrey-Chambertin. This vintage is celebrated for its excellent quality, offering both power and refinement.
【Expect a meaty, strong, and tannic wine, generous with liquorice and undergrowth aromas, needing time to fully reveal its identity.】 Notes of strawberries, red fruit, earthy undertones, leather, and oak contribute to its complex profile.
🍴 This powerful red Burgundy pairs beautifully with game and mushroom dishes, grilled red meats, poultry, or even robust game like venison and wild boar.
🥂 Fit for a connoisseur's cellar, this wine is designed for long-term aging, ideally 5 years before opening, and 20 or more in the finest vintages, making it perfect for a significant celebration or a serious Burgundy tasting.
BACKGROUND
Louis Jadot is a prominent Burgundy wine producer and négociant. Pinot Noir and Chardonnay are the primary grape varieties featured. The house was established in Beaune in 1859 by Louis Jadot. The company has seen several leadership changes: Gagey's son Pierre-Henry took over as president in 1991, Gagey died in 1999, and Lardière retired in 2012. Frédéric Barnier, who joined in 2010, is now the head winemaker, and Thibault Gagey has joined his father Pierre-Henry in leading the firm.
