🏰 The 2017 Chateau Smith Haut Lafitte Rouge is a triumph, widely praised by critics with multiple 97-point scores, standing out in a challenging Bordeaux vintage marked by severe April frosts. This Pessac-Léognan Grand Cru Classé offers a 【profound and complex profile of cassis, red currant, blackberry, and violet, interwoven with notes of dried herbs, graphite, mocha, and subtle oak】. It's celebrated for its elegance, velvety tannins, and seamless freshness, promising effortless aging for decades.
🍴 For a wine of this caliber, pair it with classic French cuisine like roasted lamb with herbs, beef Wellington, or a rich mushroom risotto. For an Asian twist, consider Cantonese braised beef brisket or a slow-cooked duck with star anise.
🥂 This wine is perfect for a significant anniversary dinner, a high-stakes business celebration, or a sophisticated gathering of wine connoisseurs. It's drinking beautifully now but will continue to evolve gracefully.
