🏰 The 2021 Auguste Clape Cornas is a 【classic, age-worthy Syrah from a legendary producer】, showcasing a fresh, well-balanced style with high acidity and classic granitic tannins from a cooler vintage. This chiseled and precise Cornas reveals notes of dark cherries, plums, currants, wild herbs, crushed stones, and baking spices. The medium-bodied palate offers impressive concentration and intensity, with bright, succulent purple fruit, white pepper, and violets, framed by finely-grained tannins and a long, peppery finish.
🍴 This structured Syrah is an excellent match for hearty and rich dishes such as braised short ribs, grilled lamb chops, wild boar stew, or peppered beef fillet. It also pairs beautifully with long-braised meats and aged cheeses.
🥂 A vintage for dedicated Cornas-lovers, this wine will drink nicely over the next decade and has cellaring potential through 2040. It is ideal for those who appreciate traditional, age-worthy Syrah and is perfect for special dinners.
