Clos de la Roche is known for producing full-bodied red Pinot Noirs with deep ruby hues, firm tannins in their youth, and a remarkable capacity to develop complexity with age. Expect aromas of ripe red and black fruits, wild cherry, huckleberry, and rose, intertwined with earthy notes of humus, truffle, and underlying minerality. Spices, tobacco, and a hint of menthol can also emerge. On the palate, it's typically robust yet crisp, with an intense and flavorful finish. 【Clos de la Roche is a Grand Cru vineyard renowned for its robust Pinot Noir reds with firm tannins in their youth and developing complexity with age.】
🍴 This structured red Burgundy pairs exceptionally well with hearty, earthy dishes. Ideal matches include game meats such as venison or pheasant, roasted duck with cherry reductions, and mushroom-based preparations like wild mushroom ragout or beef bourguignon. It also complements red meats served in rich sauces and a variety of medium to mature cheeses.
🥂 An excellent choice for a formal dinner, a special celebration, or a gathering of Burgundy enthusiasts who appreciate a wine with both power and finesse, and the potential for further evolution.
