🏰From D'Oliveira, a historic producer renowned for one of the world's most extensive collections of ancient Madeiras, this 1997 Tinta Negra is a 【very rare wine】 showcasing the grape's potential in a dry style. This dry-style Madeira reveals a fine and precise aroma, tempered by a strong presence of dried fruits, lightened and spiced by generous volatile acidity, leading to a long, intense, tangy finish. Expect notes of furniture wax, lemon peel, pine resin, fig, marzipan, and spice, with a fine-boned and acidic profile that acts as a real palate cleanser. It's bottled ready for drinking and will keep well for several months after opening.
🍴 Delicious with desserts, especially fruit-based ones like pineapple or fruit salad, rich cakes, strong cheeses, or chocolate. It can also be enjoyed as a digestive with coffee or as an aperitif with a rich consommé.
🥂 A superb choice for a post-dinner indulgence, a special celebration, or as a unique aperitif to impress guests. Serve between 13-14°C. This wine was naturally aged in casks for over 20 years and bottled in its purest state. It does not require decanting and is known for its incredible longevity, even after opening. Remember to check the cork and capsule carefully when opening older fortified wines.
